JR has spent years on both sides of the tape: coaching riders through their first proper corner, and officiating at the highest level of racing. He knows what the rules reward, what the clock punishes, and what actually holds a rider back on the trail.
His accreditations run deep. JR is a Level 1 and Level 2 MTBA coach and an MTBA Skills Coach, holds a UCI Level 2 qualification, and is a National and Elite Commissaire. He’s also a qualified personal trainer, so the work doesn’t stop at the trailhead.
The riders he works with are just as varied. Some are locals chasing a clean run at their club race, others are on the road racing professionally overseas. JR meets each of them where they are, breaks the skill down to something that makes sense, then builds it back up until it holds under pressure.
